I am an Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Delaware. I am Research Director at the Center for Political Communication at UD, and Editor-in-Chief at Public Opinion Quarterly.

My teaching and research interests center on American politics, with a particular emphasis on LGBTQ politics, public opinion, and political behavior. My current research agenda includes projects that explore straight attitudes on LGBTQ rights, the political behavior of LGBTQ people, and the effectiveness of LGBTQ interest group appeals, among other issues.
